Vs. Goliath Visual is a documentary & commercial production group founded by Emmy® nominated cinematographer & award winning Director David Hambridge in 2016. ‘KIFARU’, our debut feature documentary, was a first for us. One that was directed, produced, edited & self-financed through any profits from our commercial work. After making this first independent feature we learned that there are no shortcuts when telling intimate & impactful stories. It starts with being humble, building trust, and allowing your storyteller(s) i.e. the subjects to open their hearts so their experiences seamlessly transcend into the hearts of the audience. We want you to leave feeling something, hopefully profound. There is no formula, only practice, passion, and the dedication to continue on the path to perfect your craft.
That approach serves as the north star for the stories we strive to tell. You don’t need to rely on large Hollywood budgets to make films that touch peoples hearts and change their minds forever. Although they are well-established and the odds are they are more industry dominant, we know what works for us to succeed. As independents we strive to tell the stories of giants and take pride that they’re made by the underdogs.
